Lebron James & Nickelodeon’s TeenNick Halo Awards
TeenNick, Nickelodeon’s 24-hour TV network exclusively for and about teens, unveils the first-ever TeenNick HALO Awards – a new concept in awards shows featuring four mega-celebrities who don’t receive the awards themselves—they give them out to deserving teens in support of their philanthropic causes. Lebron James will be presenting a award to Darrius Snow. The Atlanta 19-year-old who grew up in the Bankhead Courts housing project which inspired him to create Bankhead Teens Encouraging Action by Motivating others (BTEAM). Darrius is one of only four teens that will be recieving a award.
Darrius also received a $10,000 grant for Snow’s projects, a $10,000 scholarship and a weekend with NBA star LeBron James. I love to see the youth on their All Star Grind! When is the last time you volunteered or gave back to your local community? AJC.com has the FULL story.
