NBA/NFL Players of Detroit Athletes Adopting Families for the Holidays with Volunteers of America! Adopt a Family for Christmas is a charity program brought to you by Volunteers of America of Michigan. This program matches families in need with individual and/or corporate sponsors who “adopt” them for the holidays. Donations received by sponsors provide new clothes for each child, toys or a gift for each child, and food for the whole family. The event is scheduled to feature well known Detroit athletes such as Detroit Lions greats Herman Moore, and Lomas Brown, 2009 NFL Draft Picks, Louis Delmas and Derrick Williams. Detroit Pistons Stars Ben Gordon and Kwame Brown along with Pistons Bad Boy Rick Mahorn along with other guests and surprises! The event will be hosted by comedian and radio Morning Show host, Steve Harvey on 12/15/2009

Additional Information for all Attendees:

• - The proceeds from the tickets sold from this event will go towards our goal of adopting 50 families in Detroit giving them food, clothing and toys for Christmas. Tickets can be purchased directly off of the website.
• - There will be a VIP autograph signing and Meet and greet at the event for all VIP ticket holders
• - There will be a silent auction at this event that will include items from the athletes themselves that they have personally donated and autographed.
• - Tickets are NOT available at the door. You must get them online and this event will sell out! We encourage everyone to get their tickets ASAP! once we reach capacity we will be stopping ticket sales.
• -Cocktail party attire is suggested
