Celebrity Softball Game Premieres Thursday on FSO
Bengals Fui Vakapuna and Freddie Brown… former Bengals David Fulcher, Ickey Woods and James Brooks… former UC punter Kevin Huber… former Reds Tom Browning, Hal Morris and Herm Winningham… Reds TV announcer Chris Welsh… talk host Eric “The Bull Dog” Deters… comedian Steve Caminiti…. all will appear on the 22nd annual charity Celebrity Softball Game airing 7 p.m. Thursday on Fox Sports Ohio. It was taped Saturday, July 17th, at the University of Cincinnati’s Marge Schott Field. Mindy Hall from the “Rock of Love” reality TV show and Matt Anoa’i, also known as RO-Z of the WWE, and Caminiti will host the show.

FOX Sports Ohio is excited to televise the 22nd Annual Celebrity Softball Game, powered by Teen Response, premiering on Thursday, August 12 at 7pm with replays to follow. This taped special features current and former Cincinnati athletes playing in a fund-raising charity softball game that took place on Saturday, July 17th at the University of Cincinnati’s Marge Schott Field.
This one-hour show is hosted by Mindy Hall of the Rock of Love reality TV show, Matt Anoa’i, also known as RO-Z of the WWE, and Steve Caminiti, a comedian who has appeared on Comedy Central.
In this game, various current and past Cincinnati athletes compete to raise funds for Teen Response, a local nonprofit organization that provides quality, comprehensive services for at-risk adolescents.
The Football All-Stars team features current players, such as Cincinnati Bengals RB Fui Vakapuna and WR Freddie Brown as well as University of Cincinnati Bearcats Punter Kevin Huber. Alumni players include several former Cincinnati Bengals, such as David Fulcher, Ickey Woods and James Brooks.
The Celebrity All-Stars team features various celebrities and athletes native to the Cincinnati area, such as NBA veteran Herb Jones, OSU Buckeyes Tight End Jay Koch, Eric “The Bull Dog” Deters, and former Cincinnati Reds pitcher and FOX Sports Ohio Reds broadcaster Chris Welsh.
A special appearance is made by Cincinnati Reds Hall-of-Famers, including Hal Morris, Tom Browning and Herm Winningham.
The show replays Saturday, August 14th @ 1 pm; Thursday, August 19th @ 7 pm; and Sunday, August 22nd @ 7 p.m.
