NFL and NBA Players – “Bowl for Haiti” Event
On last Saturday night some of our favorite NBA and NFL players participated in “Bowl for Haiti,” at Lucky Strike in Washington, DC. The event raised over $5,000 and brought awareness to the Center of Hope for Haiti. Bowl for Haiti is presented by Laron Profit, former NBA player and Events by Illumine, a sports and entertainment marketing company based in Washington, DC.

“Giving back is the best way to show gratitude for where you are in life,”said Bowling for Haiti Creator Laron Profit. “All of us have been blessed not only by our achievements in the NBA but in life in general. We can’t forget about the residents of Haiti who are still suffering six months after the earthquakes.” The sponsors, creators and participants of Bowl for Haiti hope to inspire the continuous contributions to Haiti and current support for the Center of Hope for Haiti.
Sponsored by Best Buy and Servpro of Reston-Herndon/Baltimore Inner Harbor in association with the Montgomery Sports Association, this star-studded celebrity bowling match included Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City); Baron Davis (LA Clippers); Richard Hamilton (Detroit); Brendan Haywood (Dallas); Jeff Green (Oklahoma City); Etan Thomas (Oklahoma City) and other NBA stars, who paired with fans to raise funds for the Center of Hope for Haiti, a non-profit 501 C3 that provides shelter, education, healthcare and other resources to Haitian residents.
