Larry Fitzgerald on His 2nd Annual Celebrity Servers Night

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald held his second annual Celebrity Servers Night with Larry Fitzgerald & Friends fundraiser at Morton’s Steakhouse in Phoenix, Arizona on August 30, 2010. Larry and other athletes and celebrities including former Arizona Diamondback Luis Gonzalez, Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt, defensive tackle Darnell Dockett, defensive end Calais Campbell, outside linebacker Joey Porter, cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, guard Reggie Wells and running back Beanie Wells took the place of Morton’s staff all in the name of charity.

Proceeds from the evening benefited two charities:

The Carol Fitzgerald Memorial Fund was established in honor of Larry’s mother, who throughout her career as a state worker in Minnesota helped people with AIDS. The Fund continues that work and also supports breast cancer survivors and the education of urban youth.

The Larry Fitzgerald First Down Fund supports healthy children and their families. The First Down Fund has provided funds for computer equipment, vision care, and other activities to support youth.

Guests were treated to a four-course dinner consisting of Morton’s signature classic dishes. Hors d’oeuvres included tuna tartare, miniature crab cakes and roma tomato, fresh mozzarella & basil on crostini. The first course was colossal shrimp, followed by a mixed field greens salad. The third course was a double cut filet mignon with mashed potatoes and steamed jumbo asparagus. The final course was a trio of desserts featuring New York cheesecake, double chocolate mousse and fresh seasonal berries.!!
