Gators Charity Give Back This Thanksgiving week
Before Gators guard Carl Johnson spent Monday afternoon preparing for Florida State, he spent some time trying to decide which Jell-O – grape or cherry – a needy family should get.
Johnson was one of about 40 players who spent time Monday at St. Augustine Church and Catholic Student Center assembling packages of food that will be distributed to homeless and needy families during this Thanksgiving week.
It was an idea coach Urban Meyer and his wife, Shelley, had a few weeks ago to try to help in the community. The players and volunteers packed 600 bags to feed 300 families. Read entire story HERE
