Each player and coach George Karl have committed to donating a minimum of $20,000 to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Tournament is Part of the 7th Annual Q-Festival Weekend to Benefit the Anquan Boldin Foundation’s Quest for a Youth Center in Hometown Community
PAHOKEE, Fla., Jan. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — Three-Time Pro Bowl wide receiver Anquan Boldin of the Baltimore Ravens along with the Anquan Boldin Foundation (Q81 Foundation) is excited to announce the 4th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, officially scheduled for April 14, 2011 at the world renowned PGA National Resort & Spa located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The Tournament will be played on the Champion Course – home of the PGA Honda Classic – and will be accompanied by Boldin as well as more than 15 professional athletes who love playing the game of golf.
The Tournament is part of the Anquan Boldin Foundation’s 7th Annual Q-Festival Weekend, an event that Boldin decided early in his NFL career to host in order to give back to his hometown community of Pahokee, Florida.
The Charity Golf Tournament is the fundraising portion of the annual Q-Festival, and it is currently looking for a Presenting Sponsor. The primary component of the fundraising is to campaign for the construction of a Youth Recreational Center in Boldin’s hometown of Pahokee. Boldin has already purchased the land for this Center, and the Q81 Foundation has been in many discussions and planning for youth programs and activities. Set Magazineorchestrated the design and delivery of a cake said to be fit for a king in honor of LeBron James’ star-studded “royal” themed 26th birthday dinner celebration held on Thursday, December 30th at STK at the Gansevoort Hotel.

The total funds raised in the raffle was $651,000 that will all go toward Xcel University charity to bring awareness to and help those with mental health issues.
The ring was won by Raymond Mikkael, a father of four from Hawthorne, Calif.
