At age 80, Bobby Bowden is in his 34th year as head coach at Florida State and 44rd year overall. Coach Bowden’s decision was annouced some time yesterday and we all knew that he will be exiting Florida State University’s football program. However, Coach Bobby Bowden has decided that his career will end at the Seminoles Bowl game (The Seminoles are bowl eligible at 6-6, and were awaiting word on where they will play).
Not sure if “Welcome Back” is what I should be writing especially, since I knew Allen Iverson was never really retired from the NBA (not that “killa” crossover). It’s just too early, “What gift HE gives – no man can taketh away”. Allen Iverson is a 76ers, again - let’s PLAY ball! I got this picture while surfing Getty Images.com only because I truly miss the “AI” with the braids. All Star Grind would like to wish Allen Iverson MUCH success with the 76ers!
Allen’s situation makes me think of the many times when people doubted me (only because I wanted more) and I always came out on top. I am glad my strength comes from the ONE whom has NEVER under estimated my potential or my accomplishments. What about you?
While on Twitter yesterday lurking around as I usually do (smile) Chris Bosh twits (Toronto Raptors) about his upcoming DVD, “First Ink”. First Ink features a documentary film which follows Chris Bosh as he navigates the most important off season of his career. Chris spends time with his family, friends and a few familiar faces and ultimately makes some changes that will affect him for the rest of his life. 
I do not believe I could ever fully explain my feelings about the generosity of Shaquille O’Neal OFF the courts, I am truly a lifetime LOYAL fan!! Stories of this caliber is the primary the reason why All Star Grind was created (to promote/support atheletes that are making POSITIVE things happen)….read the story (Cleveland Cavaliers Examiner) and understand All Star Grind’s movement.
Surfing the web (primarily Twitter) I have come to adore certain “Daddy Time” photos. Several athletes have either twitted or used as their profile pics. In today’s society we still do NOT show our Fathers and Dads the appreciation they deserve. I truly belive that being a “Father or “Dad are two different roles; therefore, when I recognize a male that has mastered incorporating both roles well, POW-POW!!

Josh Cribbs is finally out of the hospital after being injured on the LAST play of the game facing the Ravens, 16-0 Final. However, I was more impressed with the kind act of Josh providing Top Notch Escorting to his late coach’s son on his Senior Night.
